Biodegradable Corn Waste Backpack - Ilkley

This backpack is produced from corn waste and PLA material derived from cornstarch, featuring drawstrings for secure closure. PLA refers to a byproduct of corn known as polyactic acid, typically generated from the sugars found in cornstarch, cassava, or sugarcane. PLA is 100% biodegradable, fully compostable, and considered CO2 neutral. To manufacture this type of plastic (PLA) from corn, the corn kernels are mixed with sulfur dioxide in heated water, allowing for the breakdown into starch, proteins, and fibers. The fibers are then utilized to create yarn, which is used to craft the bag. The default design on the bag includes the logo "bio bag compostable - made of corn".
